My top 5 reasons to be fit are as follows. What's yours?
1) Feel better physically
2) Able to do more fun things
3) Peace of mind knowing I'm taking care of myself
4) Like the way I look
5) Last but not least IN CASE OF A DISASTER I WILL BE ABLE TO HELP INSTEAD OF HINDER. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP GOING LONG ENOUGH TO GET OUT OF HARMS WAY WHILE CARRYING MY DISASTER BAG IF NECESSARY!!!
p.S. Don't forget, disaster preparedness is part of being fit. There are lots of lists of what to have on hand in case of a disaster. Please take the time to prepare your family.
My wife can now wrap her legs around me (she commented on this the other night), and I no longer drip sweat all over her ..............................................................................................
Hay, its true and it is as good a reason as any, specially for your partner
Hey Russell, great to see you (and Jeff) on here posting more. Love the show, very motivational. I have told several people about it and they have all come back to me saying it is awesome and they are working their way through the many episodes. It has really helped me (and my friends) out a lot and given us the knowledge we need, so instead of giving us fish like so many other "diet" sites, you have helped to teach us how to fish and I will be able to intelligently feed myself going forward.
Keep up the great work and I hope we see you on traineo more.
(72.5lb down since I started listening to your podcast 14 months ago, so I am a walking billboard for fat2fit radio )
1. I can sit on the floor and get up without grunting.
2. I can swing dance, and not feel sorry for the guy.
3. I'm very regular now.
4. I can keep up with my dog.
5. I can run away from bad guys!
Hitting the gym after work today. Had to miss lunch for a Halloween event at the Kindergarten for Daughter #1.
I think to day will be a good chest day. Need to plan a good upper body circuit. Did a killer circuit the other day that had me sweating a ton. Made for a fast workout too.
Goal this weekend: Limit myself to 1.. one, not 2... just 1, piece of Halloween candy. Sorry Kiwi - I don't think I can apply the NOPE logic this weekend.
It's not a rule, it's a suggestion....I think me and Halloween Candy will become good friends this weekend
I have two little bird dogs (ages 4 and 5 and they like to wear Disney princess costumes) that hunt down and kill the candy and return it to me, it's purrrrfect
1) I hate the feeling when I sit down and I feel my stomach on my legs!
2) I love the feeling when I've exercised and I'm eating well and I hit the scale and there's some loss. It feels like I'm in control, and I've got the discipline to reach my goals.
3) I love when people see me and say, hey, you've lost some weight.
4) I like to listen to podcasts and run. Every pound I lose will make it easier to become a frequent marathoner, which is my goal.
5) I want to live a really long life and have many adventurers. Less pounds of fat means a healthy heart.
1. My teeth feel cleaner since eating whole foods
2. More stamina
3. Complements from friends/co-workers
4. Better poo!
5. Less prone to injury doing basic things - I used to strain my back on a regular basis, a couple or three times a year.
I love these posts. There really are good benefits to being fit besides being afraid of dying young. I am now shopping for a wedding dress - not easy at a large size
